This is the Northern Virginia Independent Athletic Conference (NVIAC) Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. Look here first if you have any questions about the FHS teams or any aspect of the league. If you don't see a question/answer here, send the questions (and an answer if you've found one) to the webmaster (webmaster at nviac.com), we can get them added to this page and the next time the answer will be here. (NOTE: If the feedback involves the website, please send your email to webmaster@nviac.com. If the matter needs to be referred to the Executive Board, the webmaster will do so and let you know). If you are not satisfied with the results, there are steps to take in resolving conflicts in the NVIAC Procedure Manual, Article I, Section 2:
SECTION 2 -- APPEAL PROCESS
All participants should weigh their actions in light of the NVIAC Code of Conduct. All have signed onto our League's Code of Conduct as members and should use it to guide all of their actions, including conflict resolution.
All grievances should first be dealt with at the coach/AD level between the affected parties, prior to being brought before the Executive Committee.
For Tournament play the Tournament Director shall review any tournament grievance prior to bringing it to the Executive Committee.
For grievances that have been discussed but cannot be resolved, the next level of appeal is the Executive Committee.
Correspond with any member of the Executive Committee and present all particulars
The Executive Committee will meet, decide on the next course of action, and correspond with the parties involved to arrange resolution.
Finally, if wish to personally contact the President of NVIAC, address your email to President@nviac.com and it will go directly to the current President.

In addition, coaches must inform all officials prior to the start of every game, as per the NVIAC Constitution, Article V, Section 2, "Prior to the start of each game, coaches of both teams must together inform the referees of the NVIAC's code of conduct." For that purpose, there are 5"x7" NVIAC Code of Conduct placards on that page.

This table is sortable -- click on any column heading to sort on that column. While you can verify the games on the Standings grid at the top of the page, you can get a vertical list of games played in this table -- it may make it easier to search for a missing game. First click on the W column and check off the games on the team's list of games won. Then click on the L column and check off the games on the team's list of games lost.
Q: How can I view the NVIAC standings on my PC or phone? (Updated: 9/16/11 7:14 pm)
For phones, there is are pages that provides abbreviated Standings lists. Micro version -- provides a simple grid with games played totals. Access it here:

If your phone supports JavaScript, you can click on the headings (Teams, W, L, W/L, Seed) and sort the table by that column. This is handy if you want to see how the teams are ranked so far, by their Won/Lost records.
